Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum + share options

About the Role
The mission (should you choose to accept it) will be to inspire attractions to realise their full potential. You'll lead the way in the use of modern JavaScript best practice and add exciting data visualisations to our web platform "Connect". You will also be involved in the following:

  • Service and enhance our web platform and APIs
  • Maintain close collaboration with your team and product owner
  • Contribute to process and performance improvements within the team's agile framework

About You
The Web Developer we're after is shaped a bit like this...

  • Passion for JavaScript, CSS3, HTML 5 and server-side scripting languages for the web
  • You possess the objectivity of a scientist and an analytical mind for data
  • Comfortable working across the stack (whether it be visualising data with gorgeous graphs, implementing BEM CSS class names or adding a RESTful endpoint or two)
  • Experience with robust programming principles such as SOLID, DRY, KISS and DDD
  • You value the importance of writing professional code and aware of coding standards
  • You recognise the value of lean automated testing practices such as BDD, TDD
  • Squashing the odd bug into oblivion gives you immense satisfaction
  • Foreign keys and indexes are not foreign to you (pun intended)
  • You deliver features regularly to the customer with CI/CD
  • You'll relish the opportunity to work in flat hierarchies and will collaborate with your immediate team, the mobile guys, the CEO or the customer in order get the job done effectively with the customer's needs at heart
  • 'Self-Starter' who enjoys the prospect of a team made up of collaborative, approachable leaders vs. the traditional leader-follower model
  • The thought of "knowledge share Wednesdays" excites you
