I am recruiting for an interim Information Governance Officer for a 3 month assignment based in the Midlands.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the Information Governance Manager by being the main point of contact for all enquiries relating to the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA);
- Provide, administer and undertake the efficient and effective management and resolution of enquiries and information governance issues;
- Provide additional active administrative support to the IG Manager as required and maintain information and evidence in a secure and appropriate way;
- Give effective administrative support to the Information Governance Manager using own initiative and judgement when appropriate and seeking advice only when necessary or appropriate;
- Deal with written correspondence/telephone calls in relation to enquiries and information requests and ensuring action is initiated in order to ensure an appropriate response;
- Arrange, on behalf of the IG Manager, face to face meetings with enquirers and/or their representatives as appropriate;
- Transcribe recorded telephone/radio communications in accordance with procedure, using necessary equipment effectively and ensure attention to detail and accuracy at all times;
- Collate and record information related to information governance requests prior to analysis and reporting;
- Maintain a register of enquiries and contacts related to information governance, inputting information to the database and compiling activity reports and analysis as required, ensuring that the information is of a high and consistently accurate quality in readiness for the appropriate committees.

The successful candidate:

- Possess an exceptional level of confidentiality;
- Be computer literate and familiar Microsoft Excel/Word;
- Have good working relationships with stakeholders;
- Collaborate with internal colleagues when helping to gather additional information relating to specific requests.
