We are seeking an Occupational Health Advisor for a full time permanent role, to work for one of the UK's leading occupational health services provider.

This role will involve a range of activities including health surveillance and fitness assessments as well as delivering health and wellbeing promotion and undertaking case management both face to face and via the telephone.

Key Responsibilities:

To provide expert, evidence-based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for occupational health advice
Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports
Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to occupational health
To provide fitness medicals and health surveillance
To evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated and escalating where clinically appropriate
To write letters to GP/Specialists as required
To maintain valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse

Essential Skills

Registration with NMC Part 3
Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
Able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively independently and also within a wider remote-based team framework
Solid experience of providing general medicals and undertaking health surveillance activities
Experience of case management and the provision of occupational health advice
Ability to demonstrate excellent written skills and attention to detail
Strong IT literacy and time management skills
Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and proactive approach to work
Comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in occupational health
