An excellent opportunity to work within the Finance team and support the sales and execution of projects in the Oil & Gas and Power Generation sectors. The Finance Team is a key function to ensure that the cost and margins on projects are accurately estimated during the sales phase, that risks and opportunities during the execution phase are optimised, and that the financial accounting and reporting of projects complies with Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.

The successful candidate will be a proven project accountant, a strong team player who is self-motivated and able to take the initiative with excellent stakeholder management skills.

What are my responsibilities?

? Support Modernisation & Upgrades Project Managers during project execution in relation to financial and commercial aspects, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax and NCM topics
? Support local and regional sales teams in relation to financial and commercial aspects within the scope of the applicable business process in the acquisition phase of a project (PM@Siemens ? from PM010 until PM080).
? Liaison with Regional Entities and other internal functions, including Legal, SFS, ECC, Commercial Finance, Insurance, Taxes, etc
? Identify, manage and mitigate commercial areas of a contract including but not limited to, currency / hedging risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, tax, insurances etc
? Provide commercial input to the approval process (LOA) for the appropriate level of authorisation before submission of a binding offer
? Commercially support clarification and negotiation of commercial T&Cs with customer and within applicable guidelines and in coordination with the relevant departments (e.g. Legal, SFS, Insurance, Taxes, etc) during project sales and execution
? Support that Order Entries are booked in a timely manner and in line with Siemens guidelines, and accurately reflected in the financial statements
? Manage and optimise targeted financial results with due professional care (e.g. project gross profit, cash flow, assets and financing instruments)
? Ensure correct assignment and monitoring of cost, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g. SAP
? Prepare commercial information for regular project reporting/project status discussions/milestone reviews (deadlines, costs, quality, cash collection) and ensure the accuracy of the commercial project data
? Support preparing budgets and forecast for projects (e.g. Order Entry, Revenue, Gross Margin)
? Identifying and financially assessing opportunities and risks, defining suitable measures for reducing risks or realizing opportunities and taking precautions for remaining risks
? Work closely with Cross Functional Stakeholders at PCC and Regional Company level
? Support developing ICFR compliant processes and controls to be able to evidence adherence to Siemens FRG and Internal Control requirements
? Support the implementation of lessons learned into own project and the organisation in general

What do I need to qualify for this job?

? Experience as Commercial Project Manager with responsibility on project results including budget, financial management of risk, opportunities and claims
? Experience in different finance related functions, e.g. order processing, project controlling, accounting
? Qualified accountant - CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent (preferred)
? Siemens CPM certification (Category C or Small) preferred
? Experience of working in SAP and Excel
? Able to present information in a clear manner to non-finance staff (verbal & written)
