Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of a small SEND school based in Staffordshire.

Do you have experience of working within a SEND school, particularly with social, emotional and mental health needs?

We are working with this school to recruit for a innovative Head of School to lead on teaching, learning and assessment. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to further developing their leadership and management skills in a rapidly improving school. The school works closely with their partner school in Tamworth to further expand and improve the offer for disadvantaged children who have a wide range of complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

This role will be on a temporary basis to cover a maternity cover which will be starting in September 2018 until April 2019. The school would like the potential candidate to have a substantial handover with the current Head so the first few weeks would be on a part time handover basis.

The school is a small a mixed special school meeting the needs of around 50 pupils from Year 7 to Year 11 who have been assessed as having social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

To join us and be successful in this Deputy Headteacher role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
