A vacancy has arisen for a working Supervisor to operate within the Midlands region supporting the Technical Manager (Electrical) in maintaining and developing the services capability ensuring any Electrical work is carried out to industry standards. This post requires both engineering duties & office responsibilities; you will be expected to balance your tasks to provide both technical & field support to engineers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Ÿ Health & Safety and Environmental compliance

Ÿ Be conversant with current Health & Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices and carry out tool box talks

Ÿ Maintain accurate records of works done and expenditure using this information to report to the Contract Managers as required.

Ÿ Liaise and co-ordinate site activities associated with services for which you are responsible

Ÿ Assist in the preparation of emergency contingency plans

Ÿ Operate Integral QA procedures and maintain clear and legible records as required

Ÿ To review paperwork & certification for the NICEIC enrolment

Ÿ Be available to attend or manage emergency call outs and provide written incident reports as required

Ÿ Carry out Site supervisory visits and audits to ensure quality and completion of work is at the required standard

Ÿ You will be required to be registered as Qualifying Supervisor for any electrical work carried out within the region.

Ÿ Provide cover for Technical Managers when required, ie holidays, sickness

Ÿ Ensure compliance with safe systems of work, risk assessments, method statements etc. and all relevant documentation is adhered to in accordance with company health and safety policy.

Ÿ Undertake site surveys and prepare quotations/information for additional works/repairs.

Ÿ In conjunction with the relevant Managers, assist in annual performance reviews with direct report Engineers.

Ÿ Maintain staff moral and motivation of all direct reports in support of the Technical Manager

Ÿ Identify and develop any specific training requirements for direct reports in area.

Essential Qualifications:

· City & Guilds 2382 - 17th Edition Electrical Regulations

· City & Guilds 2391 - Test & Inspection Qualification or Equivalent

· City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications or Equivalent recognised apprenticeship

· A full driving licence.
