Service Support and STR Controller

We are recruiting for Service Support and STR Controller in the Alcester area. Our client is an independent Materials Handling specialist.

As a Service Support and STR Controller you will need to have experience in:

  • Repair Quotations
  • Rentals
  • Contract Hire End
  • Transport
  • Contigency Planning


  • Salary:GBP12,500
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-1pm
  • Location: Alcester
  • Duration: Permenant, Part-Time

Role of a Service Support and STR Controller:

  • Seek service repair quotation revenue opportunities each day
  • Produce repair quotations and forward to customer for approval purposes
  • Convert repair quotations
  • Pass converted repair quotations to service controller for scheduling purposes
  • Produce daily report to include: Number of quotations produced and value and Converted quotes and value
  • Maintain quotation activity record
  • Account for all rental assets
  • Control rental T card system (including equipment specification details on T card)
  • Create rental contract paperwork
  • Ensure that all rental equipment is being invoiced accurately to the customer each month
  • Ensure that Key is up to date
  • Plan off-hire inspections with the customer with the support of the service controller
  • Create misuse and damage repair quotations and acquire PO numbers from customers
  • Ensure that transport costs to deliver and collect the equipment have been accounted for
  • Inform service controller when off-hire inspection(s) need to be performed at the end of a contract hire period so the inspection(s) can be scheduled
  • Identify any misuse and damage from the FSE off-hire inspection(s) sheet(s)
  • Arrange transport to collect the equipment from the customer after the FSE has completed the misuse and damage inspection(s) (where possible)
  • Inform the customer of the transport cost so that a PO number can be obtained and assigned to the invoice
  • Ensure that hours have not been exceeded during the contract hire term and inform the customer of the cost if they have (and request a PO number) so an invoice can be produced
  • Produce misuse and damage repair quotation(s) and request a PO number from the customer
  • Organise transport to collect or deliver the following equipment: New, Refurbished, Rental, Demonstration, Cross hire, Prop-ups.
  • To provide support when personnel are absent in the following key areas: Service control and Parts control
