We are a small - but growing - family-owned business in the food ingredient trading sector. Owing to an internal promotion, we are looking for a first class administrator to support our Senior Trader - a great sales person, but administratively challenged.

The role involves:
- Contacting customers and suppliers by e-mail and telephone to confirm details - as requested by the Senior Trader.
- Ensure that all orders and purchase orders are recorded onto the Finance system and that all associated documentation is accurate.
- Prepare, verify and manage all information related to the delivery of goods, calling suppliers and transport companies as necessary.
- Collate and input data onto the CRM Goldmine system.
- Ensure that samples are requested and received to the deadlines required and the process from ordering to delivery is recorded, managed and communicated effectively.
- Ensure that technical information is obtained from suppliers and presented in the required format for the Technical Team to approve prior to submitting to the customer.
- Providing other general administrative functions as and when requested.

You will have:
- Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- A confident, polite, yet assertive manner, both in liaising with customers and suppliers as well as supporting our Senior Trader.
- A logical, structured and methodical style and able to work under pressure in a mature and composed manner.
- A track record of working in an administrative role where customer contact by telephone is a key function.

The role is essentially to support the Senior Sales Trader, but inevitably in a small business there are occasions when it is necessary to support other departments. Consequently, a willing and helpful manner is vital. Similarly, whilst full training will be given, a genuine desire to show initiative, learn and develop must be demonstrated.
