The Business Implementation Lead, reporting to the Continuous Improvement Lead, is responsible to achieve identified project objectives by managing the implementation of scope, schedule, resource assignments and business support. The Business Implementation Lead will coach business teams to move effectively though the implementation process and process change and will work with the business leadership team to mitigate any risk elements to a project.

The role is an excellent opportunity to expand skills in project management and process change initiatives and implement SAP S4 for the CPE business. Post S4 deployment, this role will continue in the business with responsibility for future S4 implementations on new acquisitions, lead SAP related Continuous Improvement initiatives and be accountable for Business Intelligence and Master Data management.



Main Tasks:
  • Solution leadership & Governance; the Business Implementation Lead is responsible for coordination and support of all business deployment activities for major process areas
  • The Lead will have a strong understanding of SAP processes and insure alignment with the Process Implementation Lead (PIL) on setup decisions and implications
  • The Lead will coordinate the deployment activities to ensure minimal disruption during and after Go-Live
  • The Lead will ensure understanding of the implications of processes and ensure the data is converted to the SAP system and upstream and downstream impacts of the change are understood and clearly communicated to the business and project team
  • Develop understanding of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) within process and governance areas and provide leadership for process improvement and process adherence
  • Identification of functional risks and issues and development and implementation of risk mitigation solutions
  • Key responsibilities in the deployment area readiness assessment, solutions confirmation, process design, testing education, data conversation and hyper care
  • Support the process change plan and advocate for change management
  • The role will play an active role in resource identification and management; staffing of SAP subject matter experts (super users) and performance management of the resources
  • Defining the project scope utilising recognised project management practices and procedures
  • Ensuring the project is monitored closely to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections
  • Contain and resolve issues that do not need sponsor attention
  • Once the implementation stage is complete, support value realisation activities to deliver value from SAP and ensure continual optimisation initiatives.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (economics, business, finance)
  • Work experience in an Information Technology Management or related field with advanced knowledge of data management systems, methods and business processes would be preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP is required
  • A formal project management qualification
  • A strong leader who can break down complex issues, identify key drivers and identify cross processes upstream and downstream impacts
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, facilitate and communicate with individuals across all levels of the organisation
  • Proven project and change management experience, able to lead and influence people from different functions
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to get buy in from the team
  • A keen sense of prioritisation, results driven and can advocate initiatives to improve a business
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written in fluent English, fluency in another European language is advantageous
