Cleaning Supervisor Job Description. Our growing company is looking for a talented and results-driven Supervisor to manage our fantastic cleaning team. The ideal candidate should have experience organizing work groups, coaching employees, monitoring progress, enforcing rules and ensuring quality compliance. You must possess strong communication and leaderships skills as well as the ability to resolve workplace issues effectively. The Supervisor will be excited about guiding, training and supporting their team members and is highly motivated to help our company fulfil its larger mission. Job Title Cleaning Supervisor Responsible to Facilities Manager Hours of Work (days and shift times) Job Type: Permanent full-time 8 hours per day (flexible to cover core hours) Rest breaks as directed by Facilities Manager Salary: £8.70 per hour Duties and Key responsibilities Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company’s larger plans Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects Address problems with work quality, issues between employees and other concerns in an effective, timely manner Ensure employees adhere to company policies and legal regulations Serve as a link between subordinates and upper management Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity Adhere to all Health and Safety Instructions Perform general clean-up of all areas of the building as directed Liaise with Facilities manager for routine and coordination of additional external cleaning requirements and upkeep of communal and exterior areas. Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped Be hands on where required To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job. Keep any equipment and issued Personal Protective Equipment in good working order Expectations Experience in a supervisory or managerial role Excellent communication and leadership skills Experience using collaboration tools, such as Word, Excel or Slack Great organizational skills and an eye for detail Ability to train employees when needed Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts Strong attention to detail Own car beneficial Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Be polite, courteous and professional at all times Be flexible and helpful to clients and other company colleagues Maintain a positive company image by wearing uniform at all times Be punctual for work Follow reasonable management instructions at all times The Company may amend your duties from time to time and may require you to undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business You may be required by the company, to undertake training to meet requirements of the company. DBS Checked Uniform Uniform will be provided. Training Any training required will be provided, such as use of COSHH, health and safety, manual handling, Experience: Cleaning: 2 years
