About the role

The Data Migration Analyst will be responsible for the end to end process for data migration from a client’s source system to IRESS systems.

As a diverse and versatile role this will cover client side consultancy to establish data requirements, data mapping between source and target systems alongside the production of other client facing documentation.

The Data Migration Analyst will guide and support clients with their migrations into XPLAN from various financial planning and CRM software systems alongside driving structured and coordinated data migration activity. Understand and document their requirements. Set and manage client expectations in line with the project plan. Coordinate the process including managing data migration development and testing and gaining customer sign off.

About you
    Experience with financial planning software or the financial planning industry is preferred but not essentialHands-on experience working with multiple forms of DatabasesKnowledge of adviser systems and the Fact Find Data Capture process would be advantageousExperience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Database Management toolsPractical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access)Data mapping and conversion tool developmentProblem solving and analytical skills
What you’ll bring to the team:

    Manage assigned transitions to XPLAN and Adviser Office from a variety of 3rd party systemsIdentify conversion requirements and mange client expectationsDocument the data requirements from clients and translate them into specifications & facilitate client sign offManage the end-to-end transition process following standard proceduresProactively identify and address issues that have the potential to impact a conversionIdentify reasons for conversion failures and raise development itemsImprove tools and processes as identified from feedback gatheredNotify stakeholders where feedback items or other conversion requests are not supported by the conversion tools and follow appropriate procedures to log enhancement requestsWork with data migration developers to address any issues that cannot be conversion tool setCommunicate to stakeholders with regards to progressReview converted data and log feedback items where requiredAssist clients in reviewing converted data, resolving conversion feedback items and performing assigned data repairs (using existing tools)
