Academic Voice Coordinator Hours: Full time, 36.5 hours per week. Some weekend and evening working may be required from time to time for special events Salary: £20,200 to £22,607 per annum, plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme Benefits: 20 days holiday and no less than 15 days for Christmas, New Year, Easter, May-Day, Spring and late Bank holidays (or days in lieu thereof), Contributory Pension Scheme. To help champion and empower our students in their academic lives our new team will deliver one of Warwick SU's major priorities - an inclusive, effective and impactful Academic Representation system for students. We want to enable students to have the highest quality academic experience and your role will be to make that a reality. With the project already underway aiming to transform the way we represent students in their education, it is an exciting time to join us. This project is entering its second phase, in which you will play a critical role, focusing on key departments in the University and developing effective partnerships between students, academic staff and the Students' Union. If you are passionate about supporting students and promoting their voice, and you have the ability to broker partnerships and deliver positive impact, then the following role could be for you: Academic Voice Coordinator This role form an integral part of the team, advocating for the student voice and managing the academic representation system that facilitates this. You will support the Democracy & Education Policy Manager, Sabbatical Officers and other academic representatives in their work, ensuring that students remain as the focal point of what we do. Who you are: As the first point of contact for queries relating to academic representation, you will help to build positive and effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, from students through to academic staff, contributing to formation of sustainable partnerships between the University and Students' Union. You will support the delivery of the Academic Representation Project. You need to have a positive attitude and the ability to build a rapport with a range of people. With an eagerness to engage with students and improve their experience, you should have robust communication skills, the ability to prioritise and organise your time effectively, and work productively within a close team.
