UNITECH PROJECTS LIMITED – SENIOR CONTRACTS PROJECT MANAGER – RAF-946/MO Company Overview: Unitech Projects Ltd is a multi-discipline construction / project biased Company that predominately works in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other hygiene conscious industries. Part of the Unitech Group of companies we are now actively looking for a Senior Contracts Project Manager. Role Overview: Based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, this role reports directly to the Group Directors. This role will involve tendering, managing and controlling various sized projects, including controlling expenditure on contracts within targets and allowances set at tender stage. This will require someone whose attention to detail and ability to multi task are unquestionable, as this will be pivotal part in determining project-specific success and divisional growth. Other duties involved are outlined below: Main duties and responsibilities: Organise and chair progress meetings with clients, sub-contractors and contractors for onsite co-ordination of works. Be involved and assist in developing in house Project / Trainee Supervisors and Managers, assisting them in the daily management of their projects. Assist in planning new projects from concept to completion including taking control of labour for performance and cost, ensuring reports are actioned with accuracy and within the required timeframe. Prepare time plans for projects. Manage and audit ongoing projects including reducing costs, time and personnel involved. Complete applications for payments and ensure all site paperwork and any non-contracted works are captured and authorised in a timely fashion. Quantify and purchase materials in line with project timescales obtaining best price and delivery to meet program schedules and costs. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers and core sub-contractors ensuring value for money is considered at all times including a level of repeat business is obtained. Ensure all correspondence is answered and actioned. Any other duties as required and within the skills set of this role. Skills, Experience and CompetenciesRequired: Must possess previous experience of working in a similar position. Experience of working within the Construction / food industry background would be a clear advantage. In addition to possessing commercial / quantity surveying experience. Develop ongoing relations with our customer base. Knowledge of financial status of projects under your control. Protect the Company’s contractual positions. Produce consistent good financial returns on projects. Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes especiallyWord, Excel and MS Project. Must be able to communicate effectively thus influencing at all levels within our organisation and with our repeat customers and clients. Must be quality driven with attention to detail being paramount in everything achieved. Candidates must have a proven track record and can achieve objectives within agreed timeframes. Must be flexible and able to travel. Dependant on business needs, there may be occasions whereby overnight stays or unsocial working hours are required. Must hold a UK driving licence that meets our insurance requirements. What we offer in return: Salary:£45k - £50k Full time, permanent contract. 33 days holiday (inclusive of annual, bank/public days). Company Car and Mobile Phone.
