Teaching Assistant (SEN ASD)
PK Education are working with a number of welcoming schools across the area in order to recruit positive and pro-active SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about the education and emotional needs of children.
We are looking for committed TAs who are experienced and passionate about working with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Pupils may have a range of SEN including Autism, complex needs, PMLD, SLD, SEMH, SPLD and SLCN. We are looking for TA's who are confident in behaviour manegement and nurtuting children on the Autism Spectrum.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to support children with additional needs on a one to one or in small sized work groups. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for all young people.
To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have:
A qualification in education or child care.
Experience supporting young people with a range of SEN.
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Knowledge across the Primary curriculum.
Excellent behaviour management with a calm approach.
A passion for helping young people to achieve success.
Safeguarding Level 1
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
