The Finance Department are looking for a Purchase Ledger Manager to add to their established team. The purpose of the role is to carry out Purchase Ledger duties and manage the rest of the team. The role would suit a self-motivated and balanced individual who enjoys challenges and building long-lasting supplier relationships.

The role:

  • Responsible for over seeing all aspects of Purchase ledger and ensuring the department runs smoothly day to day, this includes over seeing and where necessary doing the following:
  • Matching, coding and inputting invoices and credit notes on to the system
  • Posting direct debits and other payments from the company bank statements to the supplier accounts
  • Making payments via Bacs, Cheques and Faster Payments.
  • Raising and resolving any queries/discrepancies, including statement reconciliations
  • Processing of Petty cash payments
  • Responsible for managing change and improving efficiencies within the Purchase ledger process
  • Responsible for integrating acquired companies purchase ledgers
  • Management of the company credit cards

Job requirements:

-At least 3 years working in Purchase Ledger

-Proactive and motivated

-Able to manage a team effectively

-Experience of working in a fast paced environment and managing change within a department
-Excellent organisational skills, along with verbal and written communication
