Position: Occupational Therapist - Learning Disability
Location: Homebased with national travel + Liverpool (Head Office Wavertree Technology Park)

Salary: GBP22,000 - GBP26,000 PA plus car allowance GBP2,400 PA

We are looking for an occupational therapist to join the team, working with our MDT to support with rehabilitation for both new and existing customer.
The post would be suited to a specialist within learning disabilities or someone either newly qualified or wanting to become a specialist within learning disability.
Main Responsibilities: Reporting to our head of clinical practice and governance, with guidance from a senior occupational therapist Working as part of the integrated multi-disciplinary team taking responsibility for assessment and management of a clinical caseload of patients with complex and/or occupational therapy needs Establishing individualised management and treatment plans using clinical reasoning and utilising a wide range of evidence-based treatment skills and options to formulate highly specialised interventions and programmes of care Promoting health and reduce inequalities for all patients accessing the occupational therapy service so that they may be able to maximise their potentials in terms of health education and social well-being Contributing to clinical leadership and supervision facilitating a culture of learning and reflective practice within occupational therapy Contributing to training and development programmes Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships and communication channels within the commissioners and other external key stakeholders Establishing and maintaining effective and appropriate communication with our service users and their relatives Interpreting clinical and non-clinical facts to develop specialised packages of care for service users incorporating individual treatment plans and goals based on clinical reasoning skills Ensuring that risk prevention and risk management strategies are effectively utilised within the field of practice Ensuring that up to date written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with professional and Gray Healthcare standards
To be considered for the role, you will need: Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy Current professional registration with HPC as an Occupational Therapist and responsibility for maintaining this registration Training in the use of standardised occupational therapy assessment tools Evidence of updating practice and continued professional development Minimum of one years' post-registration experience, either within learning disabilities or on a rotation Broad experience of working with clients with a range of mental health problems Experience of both group and individual work Experience of multi-disciplinary working Experience of multi-agency working
