Support Worker, Leek

£8.47 per hour

Full time hours – shifts on a rota basis, 8am to 9pm, 2pm to 9pm, weekends 9am to 9pm.

Waking nights 9pm to 9am

We are looking for experienced and dedicated Support Workers living close to the Leek area of Staffordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Children’s Residential home who provide specialist care to children and young people aged 8 -18 with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, challenging behaviours and complex needs.

There are fantastic opportunities to learn and progress in this role. It can be challenging, but the rewards of seeing a young person overcome hurdles in their life or seeing them progress and achieve their goals is something else!

As their Support Worker, you will be part of a residential care home for up to 7 young people. The home is very welcoming and boasts a homely and very fun feel to it. Every member of the staff team put the children they support first. You will help create a healthy living environment where the young people are encouraged, and their potential is realised. You will also assist with personal care needs and look after their welfare.

What skills and qualifications are required?

You will have Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce, or equivalent;You will have experience of working with children with Learning Disabilities; It is preferred that you have a full driving licence but not essential;Above all, you will be a vibrant, enthusiastic character who wants to truly make a difference to a child’s life and watch them achieve their goals.
