This is a fundamental role that will suit a technology driven apprentice with a desire to succeed in all areas associated with delivering leading ITC solutions and outstanding service to a diverse client base.
This role includes being involved in all aspects of the company's tasks such as pre-sales, advice to the sales team and our partners, project management and controlling installations, managing interventions by third party engineers, working with the helpdesk team, agreeing and signing off completed project related jobs, being involved in all aspects of delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Your formal base will be our Ross on Wye office in the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty. You will also have the opportunity to frequently travel to client sites around Herefordshire, the Midlands and surrounding areas. You may be required to travel to any part of England and Wales on an ad-hoc basis. (A full, preferably clean, driving license is required).
To satisfy our Government Contracts you will be submitted for a security clearance.
Essential Experience:
You will have proven team working and customer facing skills.
You will have knowledge of the key requirements of coordinating with our internal resources and managing third party provider relationships.
You wiill be highly technically aware, and ideally have understanding in areas including:
* Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems
* Core Microsoft server roles (Exchange, IIS, AD, DNS, DHCP, SharePoint)
* Provisioning and management of Office365 and Exchange Online.
* System virtualisation
* Backup technologies
* Server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
* Hardware firewalls and router configuration
* Switching
* System and network monitoring
* Endpoint protection technologies
Other desirable experience:
* SQL databases
* Apple Operating Systems and Hardware
* Printer support and servicing
* Imaging technologies
Desired skills
* Customer focussed
* Good knowledge of IT
* Understanding of Microsoft software and operating systems
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Quick learner, enthusiasm for technology and hard working
* Keep abreast of new developments in software and hardware

Training to be provided
Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprentice qualification together with on site training by the employer.
For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be 15 months. There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.
