Graduate Sales Engineer


Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 1.30pm. 35.0 hours excluding a one hour unpaid lunch break Monday to Thursday.

GBP20,000 per annum

Graduate Sales Engineer required for a local, well established manufacturer. This is a great opportunity for an engineering graduate looking for a commercial role offering full product training.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in any mechanical/automotive/ engineering background. No sales experience is necessary as training will be given however any experience working in a customer facing role either during or after your studies, and those with a key eye for client facing relations and sales will have a distinct advantage.

Your role will be split between new business development and account management of existing customers. You will focus specifically on brake technology and assessing customer requirements as necessary. You will help to identify the best products for their requirements and liaise with the technical department to have BOMs created. You will be required to visit customer sites across the UK and attend exhibitions.

This is a great opportunity to join a company that can offer a varied role and offer full product training including training at company headquarters in Germany should it be required.

The Role (given training):

* Identifying new customers.
* Maintaining relationships with key clients.
* Selling Brake Technology to manufacturers across the UK.
* Calculating brake system requirements for customers.
* Liaising with technical department to create BOMs.
* Attending client visits and exhibitions as required.

The Graduate Engineer:

* Degree in mechanical, automotive or similar transferable engineering discipline.
* Confident liaising with clients over the phone.
* Any previous sales experience is advantageous.
