Temporary role to commence as soon as possible on an ongoing basis for an experienced Asset Surveyor, the role will be based between Shrewsbury and Stafford sites.

To work closely with sub-contractors & service providers to deliver a high quality and cost effective inspection service to our customers in line with the group values and to ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved and maintained.
Provide diagnosis for complex building defects and specify appropriate remedial works ensuring contractors undertake works in the correct level of quality.

Identifying and implementing good practice, and improvements, resulting in the successful delivery of the repairs service and business improvement programmes.
To be responsible for the correct and appropriate use of all IT and Communications equipment provided.
Inspecting maintenance works to occupied or void properties, diagnosing faults and assessing work required, degree of urgency and raising necessary orders.
To liaise with members of the public, tenants, clients and any statutory bodies in any matter relating to any aspect of maintenance.
Ensuring all work is carried out is in accordance with statutory requirements and standing orders, and that the quality and standard represents value for money.
To be responsible for ensuring that all inspection appointments and post inspection targets are met, and all inspections are carried out in accordance with agreed service standards.
To be responsible for ensuring clients and customers are kept adequately informed of results of inspections and timetable of resulting works to be carried out.
Working with colleagues effectively to ensure that rechargeable repairs are managed to the agreed procedure and that tenants are made aware of their options in resolving these repairs.
Ensuring that Mutual Exchange Inspections are carried out to agreed service standards.
Working with client's to ensure expenditure is managed in line with budgets on areas under their control.
To be responsible for ensuring that all Schedule of Rates codes are used appropriately.
Provision of technical advice to any team member or client as required.
Maintaining an awareness of relevant regulatory changes and best practice by attending training courses and seminars

Suitable candidates will have relevant construction or surveying qualification or qualified by experience to an equivalent level, Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor for Production of Energy Performance Certificates is desirable.
A current driving licence along with access to a suitable vehicle will be required.

Hours of work are 37 per week. Pay rate is £16.45 per hour.
