The Role 36.5 hours per week Full time Typical shift pattern will be 06:00 until 14:00 and 14:00 until 22:00 rotating weekly. This is a permanent contracts We are looking for professional heavy vehicle technicians to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on all types of vehicle, trailers and mechanical equipment and plant operated by our client. Successful candidates must be fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or an equivalent qualification) and have proven experience of working on the types of vehicles, trailers and units that you would expect our client to have, for example LGV. A successful applicant will be expected to work as part of an effective team. You will need to hold a C Category UK manual drivers licence (class 2) with less than 6 penalty points. Salary & Benefits With a starting salary of GBP27,798 per annum plus a fleet allowance of GBP606.84 per annum. You also expect the following benefits; Four weeks annual leave on entry with options to purchase more. A 36.5 hour working week. Technicians can also expect Shift Payments made in addition to the basic salary as well as Overtime and Scheduled Attendance in addition to basic salary. A competitive Company Pension Scheme. About the Role As a vehicle technician, you'll perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on all types of vehicles in our Client's fleet - one of Europe's largest. You'll work on smaller vans right up to HGVs and mechanical equipment - with tools and PPE supplied by the Client. You'll receive extensive training and full induction to ensure you have the skills to carry out the job. About You You must be qualified to IMI Level 3 or equivalent (L3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) A team player who takes real pride in their work, you'll be prepared to go the extra mile to ensure the job is done effectively. You'll be qualified to IMI Level 3 or equivalent in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance and repair with a full driving licence (LGV preferred). You'll need to work well with the wider team while also confidently taking the initiative when necessary.
