My client, a nationwide practice, are looking for a Senior Manager to lead into an Associate Director Role in 18 months for one of their West Midlands offices. The Company has over 50 offices throughout the country but have not lost the community feel that they grew the business on meaning lots of interaction with clients while getting the back office support you would expect from a large national company. This practice is a confident practice that knows its place in the market and will offer a great workplace for the successful candidate.

The main responsibilities of the role will be,

• To manage the assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
• To brief junior staff on the client's affairs and the pre-assignment instructions. To supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake 'on the job' training and appraisals where necessary.
• To ensure that the job is completed within budget, and to discuss all materials points arising with the assignment partner in the first instance and client immediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns.
• To liaise with the client throughout the year and to practice the principles of excellent client service at all times.
• To ensure that appropriate liaison takes place with all other departments, and that all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.
• Develop all areas of the business through good business development skills with existing and new clients

The ideal candidate will,

• Have excellent Business development skills
• A background predominantly in practice
• A great personality
• All round accounting experience
• Ability to work to and meet deadlines
• Experience with direct participation on interdisciplinary Due Diligence teams - with Senior Management, inclusive of initial risk/compliance assessment based on documentation.
• Strong compliance knowledge and proficiency in interpreting and applying contractual, regulatory, and procedural requirements and guidelines.
