Who are we looking for?

EMR is now looking for an experienced Site Operative, to join our busy End or Life Vehicle (ELV) area at our Kingsbury depot.

What you will be doing:

·Depolluting, dismantling, stripping and removal of parts from vehicles that come into the depot, ready for processing.

·Safely operating and be willing to learn the operation of various plant on site.

·Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas, reporting problems accordingly.

·Actively participating in our strong safety culture.

·Ensuring the company Health & Safety and environmental policies are strictly adhered to.

·Monitoring all visitors, including PPE compliance.

·Assisting depot management as required.

The skills we are looking for:

·Experience of working on ELV, car garages or car production would be ideal.

·Awareness of how to operate safely and effectively in a large industrial environment.

·Adaptable to meet business priorities.

·Good communication and customer service skills.

·Organised, safety conscious, physically fit and motivated.

·Comfortable working outside.

·Availability to work Saturdays.

·Ability to travel to and from the depot without difficulty.

·Previous experience in the scrap metal environment, or similar, such as transport, garage, waste, aggregates, recycling, or depot/yard environments would be advantageous, but not essential.
