Your new role
You will join a key department of the company and report directly to the department head, assisting them with the day-to-day running of a department which oversees testing, DevOps and tooling teams, guiding and supporting them to make sure everything runs smoothly.
You will also oversee the management of the department schedule, act as a liaison between stakeholders, produce reports on the overall service, lead the implementation of tooling, ensure compliance and support the transition into Cloud and Agile delivery.
As part of your role, you will also have the opportunity to travel abroad in order to liaise with other parts of the business.
This role would be suitable for an experienced tester/developer looking to get into a management position.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in testing or development and is now looking to get into a managerial role. They will also have an aptitude to learn new skills and technologies, knowledge of working within a Windows and UNIX environment, strong communication skills, organisation and time-management, ability to work independently and within a team and a drive to succeed.
It is also important that the candidate has a broad understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Testing, Applications and Infrastructure. Furthermore, an understanding of modern tools such as Cloud Computing, Agile Delivery, Containerisation and CI/CD is beneficial.
