We are now recruiting for two Engagement Officers to join our friendly Housing & Support team based at our site in Erdington. The successful candidates will join us on full time, permanent contracts and in return will receive a salary of £19,209.66 per annum. Key Responsibilities of our Engagement officer: - Responsible for developing and maximising the potential, personal growth and development of our tenants - You will have your own caseload of tenants to support and guide in regards to maintaining their tenancies and housing management to achieve their aspirations of independent living - Have a flexible and solution orientated approach to engaging and supporting our tenants to effectively access and implement a programme of support within the Supporting People framework - You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks ranging from assisting in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed at the scheme to supporting tenants in developing their life and social skills Experience and knowledge to become our Engagement Officer Role: - A minimum of 12 months working with people who are homeless or at risk of losing their accommodation is essential - Experience in housing management or supported housing and be able to deal with stressful situations - You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, question and influence when needed - Knowledge of Safeguarding practices and an understanding of the support needs of tenants will be beneficial. - - Excellent administrative, recording and reporting skills PC literate, familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook or similar packages - NVQ in Level 3 in Health and Social Care / Advice and Guidance / Chartered Institute Housing or will to work towards is desirable - UK / EU Driving Licence or the ability to travel to other sites is desirable Closing date for applications: 12pm on Friday 8th February 2019 So what are you waiting for?
