My client is part of a global manufacturing business, currently experiencing a high level of growth and development in the UK. A new role has been introduced as part of the manangement team to co-ordinate and manage the internal sales team to provide outstanding customer service and timely, accurate processing of customer orders.

Key areas of responsibility

Oversee order processing, liaising with design, surveying and operations teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency of orders

Act as the main point of contact for customers, both external and internal

Ensure transport and logistics operations are scheduled

Support external sales team members, providing accurate and detailed information as required

Co-ordinate activities to ensure correct data is recorded

Handle any complaints, working with quality team to ensure speedy resolution

Record and maintain relevant documentation

Plan and co-ordinate daily activities and processes

Ensure that a strong relationship is developed with top accounts, identifying customers needs and working to improve accordingly


  • Ideally degree qualified or experienced in commercial discipline
  • Management experience within Customer Service function, ideally within manufacturing though not essential
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse and developing team
  • Customer facing and commercially minded
  • Proven experience of CRM systems
  • Ability to influence change and drive innovation
  • Experience of the delivery of improved processes and business efficiencies that have impacted on service delivery and financial performance
