Our client is an established and very successful independent commercial insurance broker and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Commercial Insurance Sales Executive.

We are looking for candidates who have at least 3 years previous experience in commercial insurance business development role.

The Role:

Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for selling insurance policies to businesses throughout the UK.

The position is office based and the successful applicant will undertake telesales and e-marketing activities required to enable you to quote for business insurance to companies who operate in the engineering sector.

Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;

* Manage the client / prospect database to generate sufficient quality leads, generate enquiries by prospecting and pro-actively selling, making outbound telephone calls and organising mail-shots.

* Respond to enquiries from clients and underwriters received by phone, letter, e-mail or fax in a courteous and helpful manner and ensure that all information required by clients or underwriters is obtained and communicated.

* Complete the key task of "fact finding" to identify clients' requirements and to provide a quotation to fulfil their needs.

* Maintain an accurate record of the assessment of the clients' awareness of risk and insurance as well as their circumstances and objectives.

* Using the information gathered, in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Managing Director, determine which Insurers will provide the most competitive rates for the covers required.

* Obtain quotations, using delegated authority arrangements or by referring to insurers. Communicate quotations, advising the most appropriate in terms of price and cover to meet the applicant's needs.

Candidate:

You will have at least 3 years experience in commercial insurance whether it be renewals, sales, business development or claims but essentially you must have sales capabilities.

Candidates with Cert II accreditation will have an advantage however all applicants will be considered.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
