Finance Business Partner, Interim, Rugby, 12-18 months with potential for a permanent role, GBP20-25 per hour

Newly created role within a progressive manufacturer based in Rugby for an experienced Accountant.
You will be responsible for providing support and guidance to a transactional finance function overseas, and to the finance and operational teams in Rugby. As Business Partner, you will be responsible for leading communication between the team and other stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and issues in the processing of invoices, cash receipt and cash allocation.

Suggesting and implementing improvements to reduce backlog and aged balances, and production and presentation or key metrics to manage and communicate progress to stakeholders in the business.

This role will also include the oversight of the ongoing integration of activities across two sites, reporting to the UK Controller and will work closely with the Assistant UK Controller, UK FD and Global Controller.

Responsibilities include:
Working closely to manage key balances, including AP, AR, Cash Allocation, Cash in Transit and Intercompany payments and receivables
Identify key process issues and bottlenecks and implement process to reduce aged balances.
Guide and train finance teams to improve service levels and processes.
Prepare and present Key metrics to senior management teams, showing clear progress and process improvements.
Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes
Ensure quality of accounts reconciliations and Balance Sheet analysis to ensure the compliance and the integrity of the accounts
Provide guidance and support to the Controllership team to maintain an effective financial system, providing the necessary information to perform controllership responsibilities
Establish standard operating procedures related to processes impacting the financial statements
Liaise with group appointed Auditors in the UK and Abroad
Manage internal controls and self-assessment
Ensure timely execution of SOX requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, review and recommend changes

A degree in accounting or finance and/or a recognised Accounting Qualification
Proven experience in accounting, financial reporting or auditing
Excellent communication skills: experienced in working across multiple levels (including executive level) functions and regions
Clear thinking problem solving - experienced in identifying problems and suggesting and implementing robust solutions
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Demonstrated proficiency of US and UK accounting
Excel, including pivots and formulas
SAP proficiency is preferred
