A large homeware supplier and e-commerce company is seeking a talented and able frontend developer to develop and maintain the portfolio of e-trade and e-commerce websites for their umbrella companies using PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML and JavaScript. The role will be based onsite in their Kidderminster branch, where you will be working alongside their innovative marketing and IT delivery team, utilising the latest technical innovations.

The client is a UK leading supplier with a rich history of providing customer service and as a result, have gained an excellent reputation in a saturated market. As well as their interactive e-commerce websites, they now have over 150 branches nationwide and a customer services department based at their Head Office.

Description

This is a varied role, with everything from customer and stakeholder engagement to elements of leadership that will allow the successful candidate to progress through the ranks in the company. This is essentially a hands-on development position where you will be accountable for delivering high quality clean code, responsive web development and within an allotted time frame.

You will engage with back-end developers and gain an understanding of their systems, ensure that websites are optimised to specific standards and gain a greater insight of UI/UX sensibilities and functions by working closely with the inhouse marketing team.

Essential skills in this role include:

  • CSS
  • JavaScript (including modern frameworks)
  • Good MySQL skills
  • Code Igniter framework skills highly desirable
