Our Client is a fast growing speciality Manufacturer and Distributor of raw materials to the UK Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Veterinary Manufacturing Industries.

They are now seeking a Business / Sales Manager - Contract Research & Manufacturing Services (CRAMs) - Pharmaceutical API's, Intermediates & Fine Chemicals for their Life Science Division. Location within the UK is flexible with regular travel in the UK / Ireland and occasional International travel. The position is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Division Manager.

Job Purpose

  • Increase sales
  • Develop long term business relationships with Key Customers
  • Develop Manufacturer relationships to ensure a long term positive contribution for our Client
  • Create a strategy for business success

Key Responsibilities

Customer Sales

  • Develop Customers for Existing Product / Existing Market opportunities
  • Develop Customers for New Product / Existing Market sales opportunities
  • Execute Sales Development Process
  • Develop key markets of Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Veterinary

Supplier Development & Product Stewardship

  • Manufacturers of APIs, Intermediates, Fine Chemicals
  • Obtain marketing information (prices, literature, sales tools)
  • Execute Supplier Development Process
  • Complete Product Stewardship in a timely manner
  • Communicate with Manufacturers (reports, sales figures, market information, product development)
  • Identify and develop new Suppliers

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc or PhD in Chemistry (or equivalent / similar)
  • Seasoned technical sales person recognised in and knowledgeable of the UK market; UK companies and UK customers for CRAMs (Pharmaceutical, Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Veterinary Manufacturers of API's, Intermediates, Fine Chemicals etc.)
  • Ability to develop a Customers' chemical intermediate
  • Excellent communicator at all levels
  • Business acumen to attract and develop new Supplier Partners
  • Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyalty
  • Desire to travel on a regular basis throughout the UK and Ireland and occasionally to India and China (around twice per year)

In return, our Client is offering a competitive package including a basic salary of GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience) plus car, bonus (up to 20%) and benefits
