If you are looking for a role where you will not only be a valued member of a team, but where you will be able to support someone to live independently and see the difference you are making, then this is the role for you!

We are currently looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Tamworth who support a unique group of 8 people who have a learning disability and complex needs. We currently have a full time position available offering 37.5 hours per week, and a part time position offering 25 hours per week.

Everyone has their own requirements but the type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care, financial assistance and daily living tasks. Being a support worker isnt just about making day to day life easier its about being a part of the fun. The individuals in the service love to be out and about in the community taking part in hobbies they enjoy. The adults we support enjoy a variety of things such as eating out, going to the cinema, shopping and attending discos - Who doesnt love a boogie!?

As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings (ideal for you early risers!) afternoons and evenings. Sleep-Ins are also a requirement.

The people we support have created a profile to give you an idea about what they need from a support worker. Please look at the additional details tab to read more.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)
