My client is a world leader in the Aerospace sector. They are one of the UK's leading design and manufacturers of high precision components.

The role

Due to an increase in demand to meet customers' requirements and unparalleled growth in their market, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lead Conformance Engineer to join their Machining Department.

As a Lead Conformance Engineer, you will be accountable for delivering consistent product to schedule and to standard. Conforming to capable operations and processes. Conformance engineering combines elements of quality and manufacturing engineering to resolve complex process issues expediently.

Capable of being very hands on and interfacing across the business functions, the Conformance Engineer will also be able to communicate effectively in resolving internal and external Quality issues.

The Lead Conformance Engineer will also be responsible for:

* Supporting Conformance Engineers.

* Encompassing quality, quality assurance, contract review, metrology and manufacturing engineering.

* Maintaining and improving performance metrics

* Supporting customer supplier interface

* Supporting material review boards

* Enabling support to SQDCP

* Reduction of concession applications

* Problem solving resolution

* Working to best practice blue print processes

* Eradicating process variability and implementing SPC to achieve CPI
* Supporting a responsive ANDON system to operations stop, call, wait

* Continuous product and process improvement

* Interface as required in advanced engineering activity

Ideally you will have/be:

* Manufacturing Engineering and/or Quality Engineering experience within a Manufacturing environment.

* HNC/ONC in Engineering discipline.

* Experience within a Management role.

* Proven track record as a project leader of change within a results-based portfolio

* Proven track record with a successful portfolio of achievements

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday (07.30am - 4.30pm) and Friday (07.30am - 12.30pm).

Salary - GBP35'000 - GBP40'000 dependent on experience.
