Scolmore Group is currently seeking a Junior Software Developer to be based at our Head Office in Tamworth, West Midlands.

As a Junior Software Developer your duties will include:

·Maintaining, bug fixes and feature implementation on current designed applications.

·Creating & implementing new applications, including full processes of requirements.

·Developing solutions based on technical specifications.

·Reading existing code and improving/solving issues.

·Logging and resolving application issues.


You will be required to work with the following technology:

·PHP, JS, HTML, CSS.

·Frameworks – Laravel & Bootstrap or Bulma.

·Linux – Particularly CentOS.

·Nginx with PHP-FPM.

·IDE’s – Your choice, PHP Storm, Atom, Sublime etc.

·SQL – MySQL/MariaDB & MSSQL.

·JIRA, Confluence, Bugsnag.


To be a successful Junior Software Developer you will have the following skills and experience:

·Great communication and being able to fit into a highly motivated team.

·Great ability & desire to learn (Including self-learning).

·Understanding and knowledge of PHP, Jquery, HTML, CSS, MySQL and/or MSSQL.

·Knowledge of the Laravel framework.

·Examples of past development (Hobby or Work).

·Any Linux server knowledge is a plus.


In return, the Junior Software Developer will receive a negotiable salary.
