We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer / Technical Designer to work for our Walsall based client.

My client is looking to recruit an ambitious thought-driven Project Engineer who will be responsible for producing flawless technical drawings, within the required timescales, supporting our Quotations / NPI Team and using the latest Solidworks software.

This position will report to the Engineering and Production Manager and the successful candidate can expect to receive a very attractive salary circa £20k to £25k per annum and benefits package.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm / Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm

25 days annual holiday (excluding Bank Holidays)


Produce accurate detailed working drawings to industry-standard

Working within a team to provide support for Quotations and Production

Supporting the delivery of our internal and external customers and meeting deadlines

Able to handle several design projects simultaneously

Strong emphasis on supporting the Production Management team

Working to client's briefs within the required timescales and budgets

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience:

Commercial experience as a Technical Designer, preferably within the engineering, tube manipulation sector using Solidworks

The successful candidate will not only have excellent technical drawing skills, but be comfortable working under pressure, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment

A sound manufacturing knowledge of tube bending / laser cutting, flatbed laser, press brake

The ability to work well within a team environment

Self-motivated and solutions driven

Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines

Must be adaptable to change and have the ability/desire to make a difference, a 'Will Do' attitude.

Ability to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the successful performance of all assigned responsibilities.


Trained within a Design, Manufacturing and CAD based environment.
