This Scientific Sales role is an excellent opportunity for a driven life science/microbiology graduate looking to move into sales!

This role is 80% field-based, travelling to customer sites, with around 20% of your time working from home.

The company are a specialist manufacturer of microbiology culture media have excellent market traction in the UK, with established customer relationships. The team is collaborative, motivated, dynamic and supportive - the recruit will have full product and commercial training! Many of the team started in their roles as graduates and have successfully progressed within the business - commercial awareness and genuine desire to move into scientific/healthcare field sales is essential!

PRODUCTS: Microbiology culture media and associated consumables.

TERRITORY: Midlands and East Anglia (South Yorkshire, East and West Midlands, East Anglia and down to North London)

CUSTOMERS: Food and Beverage, Water, Dairy and Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics testing markets

Role:

- Maintain current business relationships through email, telephone and face to face contact

- Develop new business through a targeted approach to increase market share and grow revenue in the region.

- Attendance at industry seminars, conferences and exhibitions when required.

- Ensure that you keep updated on competitor activity, market knowledge and relevant industry trends.

- Log all information onto company database

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

A graduate Microbiologist or Life Scientist - professional sales training will be provided

Determined, dynamic, enthusiastic personality & excellent communication skills.

Evidence of research into the sales process and day to day role.

Experience working in a target-focused customer facing role during or after university is preferred
