Job Description:

As a Management Accountant you will be working in their Accounts Department and you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive financial transaction, accounts payable and treasury function to the business. Duties will include:

* Balance sheet reconciliation

* Monthly bank reconciliation

* Sales reconciliation and journals monthly

* Daily cash allocation (payments & receipts)

* Accruals and prepayments

* Matching/posting all purchase invoices

* Payments runs

* Invoicing jobs

* Authorise customer refunds

* Approve credit accounts

* Check nominal activity for error

* Posting direct debits

* VAT reconciliation

* Petty cash reconciliation

* Check and pay expenses

* Depreciation journal

* Quarterly Goods and Services Tax return

* Provide support and guidance to two Accounts Assistants

For the Management Accountant, it would be good to see candidates with:

* Strong accounting experience is essential and an accounting qualification (or part qualification) will be required

* Experience and understanding of Sage 50 & 100

* Good organisational, people management, administration skills

* Strong Excel skills

* You will have strong attention to detail and a structured approach

* Candidates should be confident with excellent IT and communications skills

* Accuracy and attention to detail

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP27,000 per annum
