Design Coordinator - Oil & Gas
Based Stone Cross (Golborne)

The role:
* Produce design briefs for temporary and permanent work
* Review submissions as directed for quality and sufficiency
* Manage the development and delivery of appropriate, robust, reliable, operable and maintainable asset designs that meet the project objectives.
* Implement change control processes to track and manage the development of the Engineering element of a project to ensure all budgetary, programme and scope changes are correctly managed
* Support supply chain selection for specialists input to the design.
* Liaison with Engineering Managers, Design Managers, Project Managers and consultants concerning project issues, scope changes, risks etc.
* Update design folders and registers ongoing
* Produce minutes and schedules for Design Review Meetings
* Assist team members QS / PM as required with engineering input
* Sketching / Drawing ability including CAD.
* Attend team meetings as required
* Attend site as required to liaise with Site Managers
* Assist site team with engineering compliance issues on sites
* Initial awareness of temporary works; further experience to be gained
* Ensure correct drawings are maintained and issued to sites
* Co-ordination / management abilities to deal with several small projects or large multi-disciplined projects
* Ensure compliance is design under CDM 2015

Experience required:
* UK Oil & Gas industry knowledge.
* Mechanical/civil design experience.
* Experience in construction.
* Bachelors Degree in engineering.
* Full understanding of the codes and specifications utilised in this industry and their implementation into project design (eg - ASME, PD8010, IGEM TD1 & TD13, GL/5)
* Member of a recognised engineering institution. Working towards Chartership
