The Candidate
We are searching for an enthusiastic Healthcare Technician with a background in healthcare to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise within ophthalmology and to work at a modern and state of the art ophthalmic hospital which provides the highest possible standards of care.

Ideally you will have your NVQ level 2 or 3, however this is not an essential requirement. We are looking for individuals who are interested to continue their professional development and perhaps go on to study for their NVQ level 2 or 3. With this position comes great progression and the chance to become a Laser Technician.

As a Healthcare Technician, you will be involved in all aspects of the Ophthalmic services, including pre and post operative care, restocking exam rooms, treatment rooms and consultation rooms, assisting the Clinical Services Manager with the ordering of stock and overall be a positive individual on your patients pathways.

Part of your role will be to support and advise patients and their families or support network during their treatment process whilst providing a comprehensive level of care. You will have an understanding of the CQC and clinical governance and provide a high standard of care aligning to these regulations.

- Background in Healthcare
- Experience in Ophthalmology is Desirable
- Experience working in a Hospital / Acute / Theatre Environment
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in Healthcare or equivalent preffered
- Passion for high quality patient safety and care
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude
- IT skills

- Negotiable salary dependent upon skills and qualifications + enhancements for unsocial hours and on-call
