Royal Voluntary Service is an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. We are now looking for a Co-ordinator to join us for a contract lasting until the 31st March 2020.

If you've got experience of working with volunteers and the organisation skills to make a difference, this is the ideal role in which to do more, help people and oversee some incredible services that are making a huge difference to older people in hospital.

You'll discover that Royal Voluntary Service makes a difference every day and supports those who need us the most. Utilising the generous gift of time that our volunteers donate, we strive to improve the lives of older people and particularly those in hospital or just returning home.

As a Co-ordinator, you will have responsibility for co-ordinating the 'Supporting Your Recovery' service in Stoke-on-Trent to support the recovery of older people following a stay in hospital.

The service helps people to reconnect with their community and activities of interest as well as reduce recovery times and readmissions. Through your work, you will impact upon feelings of loneliness and isolation that may be felt after prolonged stays in hospital.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will:

- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with funding agreements
- Support recently discharged older Stoke-on-Trent residents after they leave hospital
- Deliver the service in line with Royal Voluntary Service's vision and core values
- Achieve key performance indicators as defined with service management

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of working with volunteers and supporting and motivating them on a daily basis
- Previous experience of handling personal information and the legal requirements of this
- Knowledge and understanding of volunteers and voluntary services

Self-motivated and resourceful, as the Co-ordinator, you'll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A great eye for detail, a positive attitude and superb time-management abilities are also key.

Knowledge and experience of general administrative processes and duties and maintaining databases would be beneficial to your application. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade A*-C would also be advantageous, as would a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle or other suitable transport.

The ability to proficiently use standard IT systems would be equally desirable

This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week for a contract last until the 31st March 2020.

The closing date for applications is the 5th April 2019 with interviews scheduled for the 17th April 2019 in Stoke-on-Trent.
