The ideal candidate will be someone with genuine enthusiasm for computer programming. Whilst you will probably not have any commercial experience of coding, we will be looking for evidence of examples of coding that you may have done.
You will be working within a team on six experienced programmers with many years' experience. Whilst the team can guide, mentor and support you in your development we will be looking for some who can problem solve and enjoy all then challenges that this will bring with it.
The successful candidate should show an aptitude for .NET development within the Visual Basic language. An understanding of both forms based development and web/web services development would be beneficial. The roll will incorporate many aspects of application development including (but not exclusive to) interactions to database technologies including MS SQL, Web service interactions via Ajax calls with XML and JSON parsing.
It will be advantageous for the successful candidate to have experience of any of the following tech disciplines.
On a day to day basis, you will be working on a range of projects such as:-

* Annual wage: GBP12,000.00
Training to be provided
The successful candidate will undertake a two year nationally recognised qualification through TDM.
This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in a training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions. You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours which will lead to the acheivement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place at either of our training centres, in Birmingham or Worcester, whichever is more suitable for your location.
You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.
This is a Level 4 qualification.
