Want to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people?

Due to a team member’s retirement, our client is seeking to appoint a Technology Installation Engineer, internally known as Telehealthcare Installer for our Telecare Installation and Maintenance service, operating throughout Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and South Wales.

They provide a range of services to older and vulnerable people 24 hours a day through their Monitoring and Response Centre based in Kidderminster. Using the latest assistive technology they help people to live safely and independently in their own homes for longer. Starting your day from your home, you will carry out installation and maintenance appointments to provide assistive technology to service users. Using mobile working technology you will be field-based and work independently.

They are looking for a friendly, organised and self-motivated installer to join their busy team. Working as part of their installation team you will benefit from a positive team working environment and managerial support. Your duties will include:

Assessing service user needs and matching technology solutions to these

Tailoring technology packages to meet service user needs and achieve outcomes

Installation of a wide range of assistive technology devices to support health, independence and well-being

Effective use of hand tools

Maintaining accurate service user records and stock transactions

Providing effective diary management and mobile working to fulfil appointments

The successful applicant will be organised and have the ability to quickly gain a rapport with service users to ensure confidence and understanding of the equipment. You will have a strong customer focus, an appreciation of the need for confidentiality, be empathetic and have the ability to provide reassurance to vulnerable people joining their service.

You will need strong literacy and IT skills, excellent communication skills to engage with service users and their families and be able to work independently using mobile working technology. Knowledge, experience or qualifications in telephony or electrical installation would be an advantage to your application. You will receive a comprehensive induction training programme when you join them and on-going training to support your development.

*Subject to satisfactory performance in this role, incremental progression may be available on a two-yearly basis. Currently, the top of this grade is £23,381 per annum pro rata.

Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is noon on 18th March 2019

Interviews to be held 25th & 26th March 2019
