Work as part of a small team to provide a fully comprehensive maintenance service to the manufacturing facilities. Provide a reliable and professional service, ensuring all machinery and equipment is available to use as required to meet the production plan. Support and contribute to a continuous improvement culture for site maintenance activity, continually seeking out cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role:Assessment, diagnosis and repair of equipment as required to maintain production build planCompletion of annual Planned Maintenance planSupervise contractors to carry out occasional work from time to timeMaintain accurate records of work carried out on all equipmentCarry out TPM routines for every production sectionCarry out all refurbishment work as requiredUtilise downtime periods to effectively overhaul equipmentAssist in redesign of processes as requiredCarry out routine maintenance and machine refurbishment or upgrades as required to keep the machinery or equipment fit for purposeRe-locate and install equipment as requiredIdentify machinery / equipment not fit for purpose and propose cost effective solutions to ensure activity can still be carried outEnsure all work that is undertaken is completed safely and with relevant authorisationComply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence.….and any other duties required to support the achievement of the Company’s objectivesMinimum Qualifications / Experience required:C&G (or similar) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experienceTime served apprentice in a Technical discipline or equivalent experiencePractical knowledge of control systems and PLC’sGood mechanical knowledgeDiagnostic methodology for repair of electrical, electronic hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faultsKey behavioural competencies:High degree of flexibility and initiativeAbility to listen and communicate across all departmentsConfident and accurate decision makerCalm, clear thinker – even when under pressurePractical and hands onAwareness of manufacturing pressures and needs to keep equipment operatingAdditional skill requirements:
