What will this role of Senior Quality Engineer entail?
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all products are introduced, manufactured and verified to customer requirements and that correct actions are effectively implemented when non-conformances are found. You'll do this through product involvement, investigation, monitoring and audits. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Undertaking scheduled product, process and QMS audits
* Liaising with suppliers and undertaking supplier visits / audits
* Managing the booking and reporting of internal and external scrap
* Liaising with customers and undertaking customer visits
* Conducting internal / supplier investigations to determine the root cause of any issues that may arise
* Ensuring effective and robust containment and corrective actions are implemented and verified to prevent repeat concerns
You'll work within both our Kidderminster and Worcester facilities in the West Midlands (5 minutes off the M5), with travel around the UK and Europe on an ad hoc, infrequent basis.
What will I need in order to be considered for this Senior Quality Engineer vacancy?
* Proven experience as a Senior Quality Engineer within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Solid understanding of Automotive and Aerospace quality systems; measurement system analysis (MSA); PFMEA; Process Flowcharts; Control Plans and Manufacturing Work Instructions
* Familiarity with CMM, with the ability to interpret CMM reports
* Ability to manage customer approval requirements, including ISIR, FAI, FAVE and PPAP
* Good understanding of the eight disciplines (8D) model, capability studies and statistical process control (SPC)
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
* Superb organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure

Contract: Permanent, working Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm. Flexibility will be required to meet business needs.
