Lead Installation Engineer required for an established, reputable and busy Digital Installation company in Telford. Our client is the UK leader in its field with a number of high-profile clientele. The Job Role:

As the New Lead Engineer your role will entail:

  • Ensure onsite works are completed to the highest possible standard before sign off and hand over to the client.
  • Guide the engineering team in improving standards, making positive suggestions to improve future installs
  • Liaise with contractors and site foremen during store builds
  • Support the Project Managers with planning and executing successful installations
  • Be aware of Health & Safety & promote safe working within the business
  • Ensure all jobs have completed worksheets or audits with comprehensive details as needed.
  • Ensure installation engineers have the tools & equipment they need to complete works
  • Be involved with prototyping and development work, be proactive in problem solving and suggesting ideas to improve products or services
  • Be involved in technical discussions with the clients
  • Investigate new technology & be pro-active in learning about products/ services utilised by the business
  • Be completely proficient in all aspects of installation/ maintenance work that the business undertakes
  • Have full understanding of and ensure relevant team members have the required knowledge level for all tech and software utilised by the business including robotics & LED lighting (Internal training provided)
  • Attend relevant training courses provided by the company, but to also be self-educating on new-to-market products
  • Provide on the job training to other engineers within the company

Experience / Requirements:

  • Previous Installation Engineering experience at supervisory or team leader level is required
  • Experience within the Technology / Digital sector is advantageous
  • Must hold Full UK Driving Licence
  • Have an appropriate customer facing approach
  • Ability to provide reports on PPE, vehicles and tools
  • Be flexible for working hours, short notice and unplanned events
  • Be pro-active in learning about projects and products
  • Be involved with prototyping and development work, be proactive in problem solving
  • Have a positive outlook
