Opening: Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer - Brick

Salary: GBPDOE earnings + Shift Allowance + Overtime + flexible benefits/pension

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am

Location: Tamworth

The Business:

My client is a well established and market leading company in their industry. They have some ambitious plans to expand and are currently growing from strength to strength. As a result they're currently expanding the maintenance team for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer.

As a leading UK specialist, my client are currently looking for a highly skilled Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer experienced within a similar, heavy environment to help maintain machinery through PPMs and reactive breakdowns.

This business has a well built production output; their goal is to keep machinery downtime low in order to produce more of their product per hour. The engineering team are very motivated and work hard to ensure this is being achieved.

This role will suit any electrically biased Engineer/Maintenance Electrician based in any of the following or surrounding areas:

Tamworth, Lichfield, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Sutton Coldfield, Swadlincote

The Candidate:

  • 5 Years minimum experience within a Mechanically biased Maintenance position

  • Must have strong experience diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic & electric control systems

  • ARC & MIG Welding / Fabrication experience

  • Some examples of backgrounds and experience include: Automotive, Food, Brick, Aersospace, Foundry, iron/aluminium casting, plastics

  • Good hands on engineer that can work independently - Well rounded background


  • MUST be Mechanically qualified (ie BTEC, HND, ONC, NVQ, City & Guilds or similar)
