The role will involve a variety of tasks that will give a broad insight into the daily challenges of IT.

You will quickly gain a general understanding of the level of support required to maintain an essential business function to our end customers.

Working with a team of people who will help get your foot in the door of a career in IT, from IT support to software development, servers, networking, cloud services including hosted desktops, Office 365, Citrix and Azure, we can help train you up in the parts of IT that interest you.


* To maintain a high degree of professional customer service for all support queries

* To take ownership of support requests and be pro-active when dealing with technical issues

* Provide first-line diagnosis and resolution of issues and where appropriate escalate internally to 2nd/3rd line support

* To respond promptly, categorize, prioritize and log support requests on the internal helpdesk system.

* Liaise and communicate on a technical level with third party suppliers where appropriate

* Support users both remotely and during on-site visits to resolve support queries

* Install additional hardware and software both remotely and on site.

* Assist in other tasks such as rebuilding desktop and laptop systems

* Assisting in ensuring systems and procedures are up to date

* Monitoring system back Ups and assist / perform data restores

Working week

- Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 17:00 or 09:00 - 17:30 or a mixture of the two to suit.
- Total hours per week: 40.00
- Annual wage: GBP10,400.00

Training to be provided

- Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprentice qualification together with on site training by the employer.
- For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be 15 months. There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.
