Quality Environmental Health & Safety Lead

My client who is a world leader in advanced materials from which they design, manufacture and supply innovative products to a wide ranging customer base are looking to recruit for a QEHS Lead to join their site management team based in Worcestershire.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining visual management systems, quality, environmental and H&S systems and process control systems. You will also be tasked with internal auditing to ensure continued legislative compliance for both environmental and H&S systems whilst working within an ISO9001and ISO14001 framework to create a right first time culture with World Class standards.

Key Responsibilities:

EHS:

Leading the ThinkSAFE initiative for the site including prevention and investigation action on accidents,
Leading and investigating any H&S concerns,
Investigation of quality and environmental concerns and complaints, implementation of preventative action.
Establish, implement and maintain communication for the improvement and awareness of quality and EHS issues across all departments.

Quality:

Provide management with regular information on customer complaints, returns and the cost of quality including internal and external using appropriate measures.
Liaise with purchasing function to ensure suppliers meet product and service levels required.
Liaise with internal customers and external customers on quality standards and issues,
Ensure to maintain the ISO system on site.

Key Requirements:

Graduate education (or equivalent) in an engineering or manufacturing discipline.
Proven professional experience in a manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
Hands on experience in a high intensity manufacturing environment - ESSENTIAL
Experience in ISO9001, ISO14001 and H&S systems - ESSENTIAL
H&S Diploma or equivalent experience - ESSENTIAL
Training in lean manufacturing systems and techniques - ESSENTIAL
Visual management experience with excellent presentation skills - ESSENTIAL
Customer facing skills - ESSENTIAL
Strong people management skills - ESSENTIAL
Highly competent with Microsoft Office packages - ESSENTIAL
