We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Technician Apprentice who is a team player with excellent communication skills with a can do attitude. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about technology and thrive under pressure in a busy environment. You will be open to learning a wide range of new skills.

Main Responsibilites:

Undertaking a range of administrative IT duties and providing first line IT Support to all staff.


* Professionally answer all incoming calls and support tickets and deal with end user technical queries

* Preform PC Builds, building systems to agreed standards and helping to define those standards

* Setup and configuration and deployment of peripherals

* Troubleshoot basic network issues such as internet/intranet or network folder access

* Testing of hardware

* Creating accounts, resetting passwords assigning new permissions

* Installing software

* Maintaining documentation

* Setting up, moving and changing workstations/desks

* Maintain the asset register

* Purchase approved items

* Support staff with software and configuration issues

Due to the company's location, you will need your own transport to get to the premises.

Desired skills

* Basic knowledge of IT hardware.

* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Windows 10 and Laptops.

* Experience of Office 365.

* Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh Systems.

Working week

- Monday - Friday: 9am - 5.30pm (1/2 hour lunch)
- Total hours per week: 40.00
- Weekly wage: GBP187.50

Training to be provided

Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprentice qualification together with onsite training by the employer.

For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be 16 months. There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and ultimately on to a Degree Apprenticeship.
