Job Description:

PK Education are working alongside two large Primary schools in the Birmingham area who are looking for experienced behaviour support assistants to cover temporary sickness and long term placements. This role is not for the faint hearted and requires a specific skills set. It is essential to be Team Teach trained, however if you already have had experience working as a behaviour support using de-escalation techniques, PK Education can provide you with two day Team Teach training course. The role will involve supporting learners with severely challenging behaviour and having the ability to effectively re- direct their attention before issues arise. Furthermore if you do well at the placement it is likely you will become permanent.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you meet the following criteria:

Must have experience as a behaviour support worker dealing with severely challenging behaviour.

Passionate about supporting learners in developing their educational attainment.

Experience in de-escalation, Team Teach training or equivalent.

Ability to re-direct the learner's attention in a positive manner before this escalates.

Be strong minded and well grounded.

Be calm and professional at all times.

Mus be committed and resilient.

Must have a DBS on the subscription service or be prepared to apply for one.
