Reporting to the Test and Simulation Team Leader, the individual will be conducting testing/verification of a vehicle diagnostic tool and applications, with particular emphasis around investigating issues and understanding the vehicle requirements affecting validation strategies.

Job Description

Working as part of the Diagnostic Validation and Simulation team validating new software releases, and diagnostic applications you will be responsible for:

  • Developing test strategies and identifying vehicle test requirements
  • Creation and maintenance of test plans
  • Execution of test plans on dealer representative hardware: utilising vehicles, modules and simulator (VSI)
  • Verification of correct tool diagnostic tool operation
  • Acceptance testing of the diagnostic tools
  • Creating and maintaining vehicle simulations (VSI) for use by the valdiation and engineering teams
  • Reporting and investigation of issues, working with engineering teams to resolve issues
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent in engineering / science based discipline
  • PC literate (particularly in MS Excel and Word)
  • Ability to demonstrate planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Pro-active and flexible with the ability to build strong working relationships
  • Demonstrate an interest and understanding of Automotive systems and or SW validation
  • Fluent English
  • Full UK Driving License

Desirable:

  • Experience of automotive electrical architecture and diagnostic functionality
  • Experience/Knowledge with vehicle communication protocols - (ISO-15765 / ISO-14229 / ISO-13400)
  • Use of tools such as CANalyzer
